Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how STAND OUT BRANDING LLC (EIN 30-1434335), 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("Canay", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Canay. Questions? Email us at apagut@icloud.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us and information generated when you use the service:

  • Account data — your name, email address, and profile information provided when you sign up (including via OAuth providers).
  • Business profile data — your business name, description, and other information you enter to configure your widget.
  • Knowledge base & configuration — files, URLs, and text you upload to train your widget.
  • Conversation data — text and voice interactions between your website visitors and your widget, including transcripts.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, usage logs (login events, errors), and referral parameters captured at sign-up.

2. How We Use It

We use the information above to operate and improve Canay: powering the AI widget, authenticating your account, sending transactional emails (login links, product updates), and diagnosing errors. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where EU/UK data protection law applies, we process your data on the basis of: contract performance (operating the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and consent where required.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party providers only to the extent necessary to run the service. These include: cloud hosting and storage providers, AI and large language model providers (who process conversation data to generate responses), transactional email providers, OAuth identity providers, and optional integrations you choose to connect (such as calendar services, messaging platforms, or website scrapers). Each provider processes data under their own privacy terms and only to perform services on our behalf.

5. AI Processing

When a visitor sends a message to your widget, the conversation is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. We use API-based access to these providers, which under their standard terms means your conversation data is not used to train their models. We cannot make guarantees about provider policies, which may change independently of us.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. After you close your account, we delete your data within a reasonable period. During the beta period, we may wipe data before the general availability launch — we will give you advance email notice if that is planned.

7. Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at apagut@icloud.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your own account from the dashboard, which removes your data.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session authentication and to remember your login. We also store referral attribution data from the URL when you sign up. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. Canay is beta software and no system is perfectly secure — use common sense when sharing sensitive information through the widget.

10. Children

Canay is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using Canay you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to countries with different data protection standards than your own.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Your continued use of Canay after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
